Being egg free has really been a challenge. One of the things I miss most is mayonnaise. Unless you use organic mayo, it really isn’t that high on the healthy list. But, I love tuna salad and potato salad, and haven’t enjoyed them until I came up with this recipe. The bonus is that it’s nutrient packed and full of the healthy fats our bodies need, unlike traditional mayonnaise. I adapted it from a recipe that one of my favorite bloggers posted, Wellness Mama. Even though the base is avocado, it doesn’t taste much like avocado’s, so if you don’t like them, you might still like this! Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below.
Egg Free Avocado Mayonnaise

Ingredients
- 1 t. fresh lemon juice
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2 T. avocado oil or grape seed oil
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. garlic powder
- 1 T. Annie's honey dijon mustard
Instructions
- 1. Place all ingredients into an electric hand chopper, blender or ninja and blend until smooth. Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
